In 2012, Carrabelle’s own special version of the Procession of the Species will be held on Saturday at 1PM.
Our rich connection to the environment and our abundant natural resources will be displayed and presented to a driving native beat. The tradition of this event is one of community participation so feel free to bring a mask, drum or costume to bring out your wild side. Join in the fun as the local community dons mask and costumes.
The incredible abundance of wildlife throughout our area serves as inspiration for these amazing creations.
Starting from the Carrabelle Wharf Pavilion at 1pm on both Saturday and Sunday, a selection of special masks will be presented to initiate the lively drum lead march through the festival. Wear your mask! Bring your drum! Or just strut along!
