Carrabelle CARES has worked closely with the Carrabelle Food Pantry to assist the organization with required certifications, administration and fundraising. These include the Department of State, Department of Agriculture and Consumer Affairs, the Internal Revenue Service and the Florida Department of Revenue. We created a system of record keeping to meet the requirement of the Second Harvest of the Big Bend and the United States Department of Agriculture.

We believe that collaboration and mentoring other non-profit organizations are an important part of giving back to the community. CARES also held a community wide yard sale in 2009 to benefit the Food Pantry and assisted in other fund raising activities.
